Experiencing Magical Moments @ Enchanted Kingdom (2010)

The second time I laid my foot on Enchanted Kingdom was way back January of 2010. Fritz and I both decided to celebrate our 3rd anniversary on the amazing park. Ang shungak lang kasi I forgot to bring the digicam!! Kaya we have no choice but to avail of the P350.00 (as far as I recall) photo shot in front of the carousel.

way back 2010

I made this days after our E.K anniversary celebration:

No word/s came out of my mind to define Jan.9,2010. Its actually more than a BLAST. Its more than all superlatives that i know of.

I admit it wasn’t our first time to visit e.k. , but then, it was all different..

Well, actually we have planned long to visit the park again for our 3rd year anniversary, and seriously speaking....it was the very first time we REALLY celebrated our ‘birthday’.

Excitement, gaiety, contentment was just three of the emotions I felt when we’re on our way to the place. It was like having my very first date and my very first out of town with my very first significant other. It’s like introducing myself to every single bit of the things we did.

Then we reached our destination, paid the ticket (we even paid less for my ticket cuz I used my college I.D. just to avail the 300pesos student promo, hahah!mean!!!), entered the park, sitted on the bench, rested for a while and puffed some smoke...before we went to Enchanted Kingdom’s [best] ride.

Seeing the newest Space Shuttle Max made my heart jump in excitement and kept my knees shiver in nervousness. A bit scary, just like the first time, a lot of fun and screams, it was a quick ride (roughly a minute, I guess) but you’ll surely enjoy it.

Next stop...Anchor’s Away.,hmm.,the same feeling, similar thrill., but that day was really one of a kind..its all out of this world!!!

Flying Fiesta..hahah, Fritz got really dizzy when we first took this ride last Nov. of 2008.But I can say, this time, he enjoyed it and I enjoyed it even more. Sitting there, and just looking at him like I am watching a 3 year old child. He was so cute with his perfect smile...

Up, Up and Away..this was a quick queue I might say! All the moms and dads with their children had a good time here, having a few camera shots during the ride, children smiling and laughing and giggling with their siblings and parents...us? hahahah, I laughed at Fritz when he got his perfect position inside the balloon!!hahahah.,until the ride finishes, I never stopped laughing at him!

Roller Skater...another ride that made us laugh our hearts out. (ewan ko rin but as soon as the ride started, hindi na kami natigil tumawa)

The last thing we did after indulging ourselves with all the rides was wait for the fireworks display.

Fire works..looking up to the sky, having his hands clasp mine, waiting for the wondrous feeling you experience when you’re with a special someone while watching the fireworks I can say is the most wondrous feeling I’ve ever had in my entire life. Seeing him enjoying the fireworks display, looking at his smiles, made me realize that I have found what I was looking for, that I am contented with him and I am grateful with the love he’s given.

Nyehehehe, though we didn't have any photo opportunities, dahil nga I forgot the digicam, I can say that this visit is the most 'optimal'!! hehehe.

We didn't have the luxury of time to try all of the rides, but I guess that would be a very good reason to come back for our next anniversary!

Experiencing Magical Moments @ Enchanted Kingdom (2008)

Enchanted Kingdom never fails to amaze me with their ever colorful and fun-filled park zones with its heart stopping rides. The amusement theme park has a total of seven park zones (different themes each) which are the Victoria Park, Portabello, Boulderville, Midway Boardwalk, Brooklyn Place, Spaceport, and Jungle Outpost. I admit I haven't tried all their rides yet, but I think that's the reason why I keep coming back.

Let me tell you how my fascination to Enchanted Kingdom started. It was way back 2008 when I first visited the park (with Fritz), and ever since that day, I promised to go back every year. And so, we (Fritz and I) both decided to celebrate our anniversaries at E.K.

I'm an Enchanted Kingdom virgin, until Fritz invited me to celebrate his 20th birthday at the amusement park 4 years ago. It was our first out of town trip together and the very first misadventure we had. Our first E.K. visit was not that good (at start), why? Here's what happened:

I was on my third year in college that time, it was a Friday, we decided to meet up at Farmer's Cubao at 3:00 p.m. (I can't recall if I even skipped my class only to pursue with the trip). We took the FX bound to Balibago for, I think, P70.00 that time. Since it was a Friday and it's rush hour already, we're stuck in the traffic for almost 2 hours. We thought, it's ok, the theme park closes late at night anyway! After almost 3 hours of travel time, we arrived Enchanted Kingdom.

Upon reaching the booth to buy tickets, the cashier told us that the park will close at 7:00 p.m. and asked if we would still want to purchase the tickets even if we would just have roughly an hour to stroll around the park. Of course we said no!

Heart broken and disappointed, Fritz and I decided to just spend a night at a decent hotel in Laguna, besides it will just spoil his day if we go back to Manila after a long and tiring trip to get there. We even checked the web to find a cheap Pansol accommodation but nothing fit our budget, (we were still students way back then).

We stumbled over a sign board of a cheap inn located at San Pablo, Laguna and off we went to the terminal where jeepneys are bound there.

*(ewan ko rin, ang basa namin sa location na nakalagay sa ad is 'San Pablo', pero sa 'San Pedro' pala talaga ang location nung inn)

To cut the long story short, we wasted money and time having the 'joyride of our lives'.

Though we're both tired already, we have no choice but to go back to Sta. Rosa. Luckily, we managed to find a hotel near a crossing (I can't remember the place but it is near the pansol resorts)

We woke up early the next day since the inn is almost an hour from Enchanted Kingdom (ayaw na naming masayang ang original plan na mag enjoy sa park kaya maaga pa lang, nagbreakfast na kami sa isang fast food at dumiretso sa E.K)

At last, after the series of misfortunes, we arrived the park. It was an astounding site (parang first time ko nakapasok sa isang amusement park!)

We rested a bit, and went to the queue of the ever famous Space Shuttle. At first glimpse I find it really fun, but the moment I sat on the last row seat of the monster, my heart seemed to beat double fast. As the machine pull our cart up, I just relaxed myself by looking away from the trail. I waited until the monster released us from above..and then..WHOAH! ADRENALIN RUSH!!! I release my 'tension' by shouting as we travel the trail.

Anchor's Away

We didn't waste our time, so right after the ride, we proceeded to another monster ride of E.K...Ze Anchor's Away! The queue was long, we waited an hour for our turn. I feel it would be super fun since parang duyan lang naman sya like Star City's Viking. I can't even understand why lots of people don't want to try it. We again seated on the last row, sabi kasi ni Fritz, mas maeenjoy yung ride if we sit there. (I believed him since its my first time). True enough, I enjoyed the ride on my seat.

sya na ang nakikitheme sa E.K!

After Anchor's Away and after merienda, we tried Flying Fiesta. (Ito maganda kapag inuna mo na ung mga bonggacious rides, parang keber nalang sa iba, hehe)
enjoying flying fiesta

Actually, three rides lang ang nasakyan namin that time, (sorry, estudyante pa lang, may curfew pa). But we promised ourselves we'll come back to try all their rides. :)

Truly, our experience on our first out of town together wasn't that 'magical', but it sure is a memorable and important chapter on our book.

My very own 'Bachelorette Party'

Who would've thought  I'll be getting married this 2012? Such a 'disastrous catastrophe'..nyehehehe..kidding aside, i admit it wasn't planned..AT ALL!  Yes, we've been running the relationship for 5 years now and we've already been talking about wedding, kids, a new car and a house (of our own of course). We even talk how he'd propose to me. (he said he'll make me cross a street, he'd stay on the opposite side, shout my name and throw me the engagement ring, morbid db??)

Moving on, last June, I had my so-called 'bridal shower' with my office buddies. It was a simple occasion celebrating my last few nights single. We did it at Music Match, Tomas Morato.

while waiting for the availability of the ktv room

kulitan ever before magwala

We availed of the promo for 5pax which costs us roughly  2,500 (package includes 3hrs videoke use, 10 glasses of iced tea (or other sodas available) and these:

some tofu, cheese sticks, chicken lolli, fries, chips and pork cuts
It was super fun, of course! (Though no liquors allowed, I'm 4 months preggy for effin sake! hehe)
We sang our line up of songs, danced with the beat of Super Bass, Moves Like Jagger and the like.

Here's to prove how well we enjoyed the night:

They even gave me a compilation of videos from some of my closest office colleagues giving me advices about marriage. It surprised me and I find it very thoughtful and sweet.

Don't worry guys, though I'm married already and soon-to-be a mommy, I assure I'd still find ways to chill out with you and join you girls on travels!! Thank You so much, you made that night extra memorable!

How do i celebrate my Birthday?

Birthdays are events we celebrate with the special people in our lives. We plan for parties, special treats, or a simple lunch or dinner with our friends and families for this occasion.

I grew up celebrating birthdays with a bang. When I was little, my parents never fail to throw a party every year for my birthday. As I get more matured, I tend to plan my birthday with friends. I make sure it will be special and people close to me will be there. Well, I don't really throw grand celebrations where you'll have buffet meals for everybody or rent bands as a background music (if that's what you think). That's too much and I will never have the budget for that! Hehehe. A simple yet fun-filled celebration will always be my best choice.

Last year, I had three celebrations for my 24th birthday. The first one was with my office buddies. Those who are close to me in Businessworld joined me for lunch and merienda. I bought foods and even made fruit salad for them. My mom sent me two boxes of pizza which I was very thankful for.

buddies!
We shared laughs while eating and it was really 'amazing' (?? i can't seem to find the word that fits)! hehe.

I'm glad they enjoyed my 'birthday party'. (halata naman sa mga piktyurs we enjoyed the food, :)

After office that day, my college friends and their significant others joined me for a videoke night. We chose Music Match for our KTV thrills. We actually had a discount since one of my friends has this coupon with her. (I think 20% was slashed from the total bill, I forgot). We had foods, beers, and some puffs (cigars).

After singing our hearts out and got enough of the beers, we all called it a day.

It's fun, bonding with my gurls and their guys, I suddenly missed our 'drinking sessions' during college. Hehehe!

Another celebration was a post birthday 'inuman' with ze barkada (actually, barkada ni Fritz, hehe). We held it in my crib. Rums, brandy, beers, and cigars were served. (They appreciate the liquor more than the foods I might say..hehe)

I have to admit, I wasn't just tipsy after the party, I was wasted! hahaha! I didn't even feel my guests leaving the house!

My last year's birthday was a total blast. Though not luxurious, I still had a wonderful celebration/s!

This year? I still don't know how my special day will be, since I also chose my day to celebrate my baby shower. :)

One thing's certain, it will still be as memorable as ever with a little angel inside my tummy (though liquors and smokes are strictly 'banned', hehe)

Captivated by Boholandia (Dumaluan Beach)

I admit, I was still assuming that we could pursue with our island hopping even on our 3rd and last day in Bohol. Though heartbroken, I think I have to admit the fact that it wouldn't be possible since something not so good happened on shore w/c resulted on canceling ALL the scheduled tours for that day.

Alright, we have to think of another thing to do so as not to waste our last day. The only place we haven't been yet was Dumaluan Beach which I've read is located in the southern and remote tip of Panglao Island, Bohol. According to reviews, the beach will not disappoint. True enough, its white sands give an invitation to take a dip to its waters.

We were fetched by Kuya Vir that morning. He offered us a good deal of P300.00 to and from Dumaluan Beach.

The weather was good that day, Mr. Sun shone yet the seashore still is full of not so welcoming 'debris'..hehe. At the resort? We kept ourselves entertained by posing for pictures and playing in the waters.

upon arriving Alonaland

After enjoying the offers of Dumaluan beach, we went back to Alonaland Beach Resort to pack our things since our flight back to Manila is early that afternoon.

We arrived to Alonaland earlier than expected so to kill time, we dipped to the pool and did some photo ops.

feel namin ang monoblock

maganda ung bato-bato sa likod in all fairness! haha
After a while, we all took our bath, packed our bags and readied ourselves to leave all the comforts of Bohol.

And off we go to the airport. We were informed late that he flight will be delayed for more than 2 hours due to bad weather in Manila. (sayang! may oras pa sana magliwaliw sa Bohol!) So we just checked in our bags and went out the terminal to eat our late lunch in the nearby fastfood and came back as soon as we finished our meals.

Realizations on the trip:
* Na ako ay isang taong madaya sa games (Spicy Ginger challenge @ Bee farm and team race @ Dumaluan Beach)..hehehe!!!
* Na ang pagkakaibigan ay mas tumatatag kapag nasurpass ang maraming misunderstandings

I suuper miss my out of town trips with the girls, though lots of unexpected things happen whenever we're together, it all pays off with the good company..:D
