Let me tell you how my fascination to Enchanted Kingdom started. It was way back 2008 when I first visited the park (with Fritz), and ever since that day, I promised to go back every year. And so, we (Fritz and I) both decided to celebrate our anniversaries at E.K.
I'm an Enchanted Kingdom virgin, until Fritz invited me to celebrate his 20th birthday at the amusement park 4 years ago. It was our first out of town trip together and the very first misadventure we had. Our first E.K. visit was not that good (at start), why? Here's what happened:
I was on my third year in college that time, it was a Friday, we decided to meet up at Farmer's Cubao at 3:00 p.m. (I can't recall if I even skipped my class only to pursue with the trip). We took the FX bound to Balibago for, I think, P70.00 that time. Since it was a Friday and it's rush hour already, we're stuck in the traffic for almost 2 hours. We thought, it's ok, the theme park closes late at night anyway! After almost 3 hours of travel time, we arrived Enchanted Kingdom.
Upon reaching the booth to buy tickets, the cashier told us that the park will close at 7:00 p.m. and asked if we would still want to purchase the tickets even if we would just have roughly an hour to stroll around the park. Of course we said no!
Heart broken and disappointed, Fritz and I decided to just spend a night at a decent hotel in Laguna, besides it will just spoil his day if we go back to Manila after a long and tiring trip to get there. We even checked the web to find a cheap Pansol accommodation but nothing fit our budget, (we were still students way back then).
We stumbled over a sign board of a cheap inn located at San Pablo, Laguna and off we went to the terminal where jeepneys are bound there.
*(ewan ko rin, ang basa namin sa location na nakalagay sa ad is 'San Pablo', pero sa 'San Pedro' pala talaga ang location nung inn)
To cut the long story short, we wasted money and time having the 'joyride of our lives'.
Though we're both tired already, we have no choice but to go back to Sta. Rosa. Luckily, we managed to find a hotel near a crossing (I can't remember the place but it is near the pansol resorts)
We woke up early the next day since the inn is almost an hour from Enchanted Kingdom (ayaw na naming masayang ang original plan na mag enjoy sa park kaya maaga pa lang, nagbreakfast na kami sa isang fast food at dumiretso sa E.K)
At last, after the series of misfortunes, we arrived the park. It was an astounding site (parang first time ko nakapasok sa isang amusement park!)
(eto ang downside ng dalawa lang kayo, tapos hindi pa ganun kauso ang digicam at tripod, walang magkasamang shot at masyadong malabo at lowtech ang kuha)

We didn't waste our time, so right after the ride, we proceeded to another monster ride of E.K...Ze Anchor's Away! The queue was long, we waited an hour for our turn. I feel it would be super fun since parang duyan lang naman sya like Star City's Viking. I can't even understand why lots of people don't want to try it. We again seated on the last row, sabi kasi ni Fritz, mas maeenjoy yung ride if we sit there. (I believed him since its my first time). True enough, I enjoyed the ride on my seat.

After Anchor's Away and after merienda, we tried Flying Fiesta. (Ito maganda kapag inuna mo na ung mga bonggacious rides, parang keber nalang sa iba, hehe)

Actually, three rides lang ang nasakyan namin that time, (sorry, estudyante pa lang, may curfew pa). But we promised ourselves we'll come back to try all their rides. :)
Truly, our experience on our first out of town together wasn't that 'magical', but it sure is a memorable and important chapter on our book.
